You may notice a lack of job opportunities in the Western Australia Public Sector. This is due to a freeze upon external recruitment til the 30th of June, 2016. From what I can find in the media, this is a fallout from a $3.1billion deficit in the budget.
Veterinary Careers will still be searching the various public sector job sites in WA on the off chance an opportunity comes up that will allow some external hiring.
The Under Treasurer has written to general government sector agencies to advise that Cabinet has endorsed an immediate freeze on external recruitment until 30 June 2016. These measures apply to all agencies and positions across the general government sector.
