About The Austin:
The Austin is a fast-growing, independently owned referral centre. We started with 20 people in 2022 and have grown to almost 85 full-time team members, with more growth to come in 2025. The Internal Medicine Department consists of two board-certified Internists (DipACVIM and DipECVIM), one Medicine intern and a full complement of Internal Medicine nurses.
The Internal Medicine department is supported by two specialists in Small animal Surgery (ECVIM) and three radiologists (ECVDI, ACVR, and FANZCVS), two clinicians in Ophthalmology (FANZCVS and board-eligible ECVO) as well as residents, interns, hospital vets, and an amazing team of nurses. Our entire team is carefully hand-picked for their attitude to patient care and ability to work together.
The purpose-built hospital (1200m2) has all the instruments necessary to enable our specialists to relish their chosen careers and flourish.
The treatment room is fully equipped to perform endoscopy, echocardiograms, bone marrow collection, and joint/spinal fluid collection. Ultrasound, advanced imaging (CT), and fluoroscopy are all available.
You will enjoy:
● Four-day workweek
● A proper work/life balance with 6 weeks of leave and the option for more leave if desired.
● Each role will attract a salary depending on experience (above corporate levels and open to negotiation).
● We will provide time and support for scientific studies, performing lectures and other individual interests.
You must be eligible for Veterinary Specialist Registration in South Australia, which requires a Diploma from the ECVIM, ACVIM, or FANZCVS.
