Veterinary Receptionist – Part Time – Join the Busselton Vet Family

Busselton Veterinary Hospital is looking for a veterinary receptionist to join our wonderful team on a part time basis. We are an established family owned small animal practice located in the beautiful beach side town of Busselton in the South West of WA. We are an ASAV accredited Hospital of Excellence and pride ourselves on delivering gold standard veterinary care to our patients.

This position becoming available is a rare opportunity in our business as we are a long term stable team boasting very low staff turnover. The successful candidate will be joining a very experienced group of talented professionals who will be able to support them while they transition into the role.

The role is part time, 3 days per week – 8am to 6pm with a rotating Saturday morning roster. Some flexibility to these hours may be possible for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Be the first contact for our awesome clients and their pets via reception area and on the phones.
• Assist with managing the clinics appointment schedule and coordinating with the veterinary team
• Administration duties – banking, email management, client mail outs & reporting
• Services & Product knowledge and client recommendations
• Assisting clients in difficult situations like emergencies and end of life services
• General cleaning

What we are looking for

• A people person – yes, you will get to play with puppies but the role is very much people and customer service focused
• Someone with a genuine interest in companion animal health and wellbeing
• Reception experience – not necessarily in the vet industry
• Strong administrative ability with a focus on detail and accuracy
• Mature and calm personality for a fast paced work environment
• Good communicator
