About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Internal Medicine Veterinary Nurse to join our team at VSS Carrara. Reporting directly to our Medicine Nurse Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care, leading by example, and driving engagement initiatives within the team.

As a senior nurse, you will:
✅ Support and mentor fellow nurses, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
✅ Deliver specialised, compassionate care to internal medicine patients, ensuring gold-standard treatment protocols are followed.
✅ Assist in training and development programs to enhance skills and confidence across the nursing team.
✅ Ensure seamless patient preparation for diagnostic and treatment procedures, with meticulous attention to detail.
✅ Monitor and record patient vital signs, promptly updating clinicians on any changes.
✅ Implement post-op and treatment care plans, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
✅ Maintain high standards of hygiene across ICU, radiology, chemotherapy, ultrasound, and treatment areas.
✅ Promote and enforce safe animal handling techniques, ensuring adherence to WHS protocols.
✅ Support pain management protocols, advocating for optimal patient care.
✅ Collaborate with the leadership team to drive engagement initiatives, improve workflows, and enhance the overall team experience.
