Description

MIT – Veterinary Specialist Centre

Animalius Vet (www.animalius.vet) is Perth’s newest small animal referral veterinary practice. Since opening our hospital in February 2020, we have established thriving services in specialist imaging, medicine, anaesthesia, dentistry, and surgery with approximately 50 staff.

We are expanding our team by adding another part-time Medical Imaging Technologist to help cater to our expanding and diverse imaging load which incorporates cardiorespiratory, neurological, musculoskeletal, skull and abdominal imaging. Our patients are predominantly dogs and cats, but we also regularly image birds, pocket pets, wildlife, reptiles and exotics.  Patients are anaesthetised for cross-sectional imaging.

We have new Siemens equipment: MRI (Sempra), CT (Go Up), fluoroscopy (Cios), in addition to DR and two ultrasound suites (Philips Epiq with abdominal, cardiac and MSK capacity). The radiology team comprises two specialists, a registrar, and two resident radiologists, one existing part-time MIT and 5 veterinary nurses.

The MIT runs our MRI/CT rooms and manages our PACS, working closely with our dedicated and experienced veterinary nurses and vets. Previous experience with MRI is essential.

The best fit for our team will be someone open to learning about and embracing the differences between human and veterinary radiology. Our hospital prides itself in a culture of learning and support, being growth mindset and streamlining cross-disciplinary collaboration.

If you are interested in this role, please send (in this order) :

  • A brief resume, outlining your previous employment history – 3 pages maximum (less is fine), highlighting your MRI roles.
  • A statement (2 paragraphs) detailing your working style and what attracts you to this role.

We understand that this is a relatively unusual position and if you would like to visit our hospital before applying, please reach out.  All applications will be treated in full confidence. For further information, or to apply, contact our HR officer Ms Sarah Griffiths.

Applications close 30 Aug 2022, or sooner if filled.
