We are looking for an experienced nurse to join us at Summer Hill. The role we are seeking to fill involves care for both patients and clients. It's a wide ranging role involving hospital patients, consulting and triage, surgery, dental, discharge and general nursing duties.

 

We are seeking a full-time nurse with Cert IV (or equivalent) qualifications & strong customer skills.

We have a wonderful mix of dogs, cats, exotics, birds, rescue and wildlife work, as well as the opportunity to work with a selection of visiting experts in surgery, imaging, medicine, ophthalmology, and cardiology. We love our tricky medicine cases, surgery and staged dentals.

• Enjoys helping clients as much as the patients;
• Can make sensible decisions and reach out for advice when needed;
• Enjoys contributing to the positive culture of the workplace;
• Loves learning and improving their own skills;
• Enjoys working as a team
• 2+ years nursing experience

 

We will provide the right candidate with:

• Ongoing training and development including 3 days paid study leave every year;
• Mentoring by an accomplished veterinary and senior nurse team
• A lovely clinic environment where you are invited and supported to contribute to constant improvement.
• A mixture of opening and closing shifts, however, will be required to do 2 Saturdays out of 4 and 1 in 6 Sundays as a part of our rotating roster
