Our team are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Wildlife Specialist.

 

What you'll do:

As a Wildlife Specialist, you'll manage wildlife hazard activities by developing and implementing the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan. You'll conduct risk-based inspections, engage with Airfield Operations Officers for training, and respond to wildlife strikes. You'll also coordinate with Air Traffic Control, maintain accurate wildlife data, and prepare reports. Your role involves significant outdoor work and collaboration with various stakeholders to mitigate wildlife risks.

 

About you:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Tertiary qualification in Ornithology, Zoology or other related field.
  • Prior knowledge and experience in applying CASA/ICAO regulatory requirements for wildlife hazard management is desirable.
  • Have demonstrated 2-3 years of experience in a related or similar field is highly desirable.
  • Possess high level of proficiency in computer skills and is able to adopt to new technology initiatives.
  • Can demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills in a high-pressure environment.
