Critters Up Close are looking for skilled team members to join our educational team. As leaders in mobile education, we are expanding and are offering a fulltime position for someone to start immediately.  For the right person you will be paid to your level of experience you bring.

Qualifications & experience

• Well-presented person with minimum of 1 year presenting or teaching.  and not afraid to present in public. Able to work at times a fast pace and under pressure, able to work with all ages and adapt to the environment. Have a minimum of 2 years, working or volunteering with wildlife/animals and have experience with husbandry.
• Be able to work in a team environment and autonomously.
• Positive attitude and caring nature with a huge love for animals.
• Physically fit with no allergies or phobias to animals.
• MUST have a manual driver's licence or able to obtain. MUST have a current Working with Children or able to obtain one asap.
• MUST have reptile experience and ideally worked with Marine and or aquatic animals.
•  Will need to be able to manage a team of people.
• Able to adapt quickly and problem solve, as working environments can change.
• Great communication skills.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Wildlife presentations
• Animal husbandry
• Animal welfare.
• Due to the nature of the bookings, the job will involve some country travel and the person will be required to work on weekends and evenings.
• Able to work in a team environment and able to work autonomously.
• Following SOP's
• Managing a team
