???? Unleash Your Inner Wild Side! Join the Reptile Encounters Dream Team! ????

Are you tired of the same old 9-to-5 routine? Craving an adventure that will make your heart race faster than a frilled-neck lizard? Well, do we have the gig for you! Reptile Encounters in the vibrant heart of Burwood, Victoria, is on the prowl for dynamic, spirited, and utterly wild individuals to take on the role of Wildlife Ambassador. If you're ready to embark on an incredible journey that's part education, part excitement, and 100% unforgettable, then keep reading, intrepid explorer!

Who We Are: At Reptile Encounters, we're not just about scales and tails – we're on a mission! We're a team of passionate nature enthusiasts dedicated to bridging the gap between humans and our incredible Australian wildlife. We're not just talking about kangaroos and koalas (although they're pretty awesome too), but also those creatures that often go unnoticed – the slithery, scaly, and fascinating reptiles that call this land Down Under their home.

The Role: Wildlife Ambassador Extraordinaire Picture this: you, decked out in our zoo uniform, armed with knowledge, and an enthusiastic smile that could rival the sun's rays, engaging with a captivated audience eager to learn about our unique wildlife. Your days will be filled with sharing amazing facts, busting myths, and getting hands-on with our wildlife friends. It's like being a rockstar, but instead of a guitar, you'll be wielding a python!

Responsibilities:

???? Lead engaging and interactive presentations that will leave jaws dropped and minds blown.

???? Get up close and personal with our wildlife residents, proving that they're not as "scary" as people think.

???? Ignite a love for nature in the hearts of kids and adults alike, fostering a generation of wildlife heroes.

???? Channel your inner David Attenborough as you narrate the wondrous lives of our animal friends.

???? Pose for countless photos – after all, who wouldn't want a snapshot with someone who pals around with pythons?

What You Bring:

???? Your electric personality: You radiate positivity and can turn any frown upside down.

???? Enthusiasm that's as infectious as a case of the giggles.

???? A desire to learn and share your knowledge of Australian wildlife, no matter how many legs it has.

???? Public speaking skills that could make a stand-up comedian jealous.

???? A heart brimming with a deep love and respect for Mother Nature.

???? Fearless handling skills - If handling pythons is a breeze for you, you're our kind of ambassador!

???? Extensive experience with wildlife handling and keeping, especially reptiles. Personal experience in keeping and caring for reptiles and other pets is a huge plus!

What You Get:

???? The chance to transform a job into an exhilarating adventure!

???? An opportunity to be a voice for the voiceless, championing the rights of our animal friends.

???? Sunshine-filled days spent outside, connecting people with nature.

???? Networking with fellow animal enthusiasts, and perhaps even some reptilian pals.

???? The satisfaction of making a real impact – you're not just teaching, you're shaping futures!

How to Apply: Send us a cover letter and CV that shines a spotlight on your wild personality, your passion for animals, and your most outrageous wildlife-related story. And remember, creativity counts – think outside the terrarium! ????

In your CV, tell us how you can match all this…

  • If you've got a Bachelor's degree in a wildlife-related field, you're off to a fin-tastic start. Academic flair? We're all ears!
  • Dazzling presentation skills that make jaws drop and minds open!
  • Extensive experience with Aussie wildlife and safety smarts to match, let's talk!
  • Personal experience in keeping and caring for reptiles and other pets over many years.
  • We need your weekend and after-hours availability to keep the wild adventure going 'round the clock.
  • Show us you've got the muscle for back-to-back animal antics and energy-packed presentations!
  • Teamwork makes the dream work! If your collaboration game is stronger than a bear hug, we want you on our wildlife dream team.
  • Alarm clocks aren't your enemy – show us you're the punctual pro who's always up for critter commitments.
  • Admin stuff we need you to have
    • Victorian driver's licence for your passport to adventure.
    • Working with Children's Check, so you're ready to inspire the next generation of animal advocates.
    • First Aid superhero? While not mandatory, it's your chance to earn extra points and don that hero cape!
