About the PVS Team

Perth Veterinary Specialists is one of Western Australia’s largest and longest established private multi-disciplinary hospital and is known for the provision of advanced veterinary medicine.  PVS provides clients, patients and referring veterinarians with a fully integrated service with specialists in oncology, surgery, anaesthesia, dermatology and diagnostic imaging.  In addition, there is a after hours’ emergency and critical care service.

The Opportunity

In addition to the undertaking the role of a Veterinary Surgeon, the internship will provide immersion in a specialist hospital, advancing your skills in a positive environment. Of our previous interns, more than nine have become specialists or are currently in residencies, and others have taken up clinical University positions. This duration will be 12 months in length and hours will involve both weekdays and weekends.

About you

To be successful in this role it is important that you are qualified veterinarian with a Bachelor Degree or Higher and have at least 2 years of previous employment experience working in either a GP clinic or specialist hospital as we are looking for someone with a sound knowledge base that we can build upon. This full-time position offers a negotiable base salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 for a Veterinarian, with a mixed experience in Medicine and Surgery. The salary offered will be reflective of the suitable applicant’s skills and experience. Whilst VetPartners’ seeks to source applicants who meet the above criteria and skill set, alternative applicants may still be considered. In these cases, the base salary is subject to change to suit.
