We are a ASAVA Accredited Hospital of Excellence and work from a purpose built hospital, equipped with a full complement of equipment for diagnosis and surgery of most small animal problems.
In 2018, we opened Gungahlin Cat Hospital right next door to Gungahlin Veterinary Hospital, providing a feline-friendly, 'cat specific' hospital, specially designed to meet the unique needs of cats and ensure that their experience in visiting is as stress-free as possible.

Testimonial - CSU Graduate – Dr Natalie, Veterinarian
Back in 2016, I was recommended to do a rotation at Gungahlin Vet Hospital for additional clinical experience by a coordinator at CSU. I stayed for one week, and hurried back again the next year when I had a spare rotation to fill.
GVH/GCH has changed a lot since then. We have a purpose build Cat Hospital including cat theatre and ward, new laboratory, and extensions for staff and offices upstairs. We work alongside a separate emergency team who compassionately care for our night and weekend patients.
A lot has changed since those rotations in 2016-17, but one thing has stayed the same. I’ve never wanted to leave! I’ve worked at GVH/GCH since graduation bar some overseas and temporary stints, and that’s a credit to the wonderful team I’m surrounded by, and gold standard care the hospital allows me to practice.
I enjoy my work, my team, the support shown for all staff, and admire the passion for ongoing learning and betterment that the team exudes.
