6 month fixed-term maternity leave cover - Veterinarian

One of our amazing vets is heading off on maternity leave in February 2024!  We are looking for an experienced veterinarian to help us cover her leave for a period of six months.

North Hobart Veterinary Hospital is locally owned and operated with the owners/directors working as vets amongst the team.  We love to have a laugh, we love to be busy and we love working as a collaborative team. We have a big and busy hospital, equipped with all the tools you need to provide high level services, including onsite access to the only CT scanner in Tasmania, access to referral and specialist surgeons, visiting specialists, onsite chemotherapy and I131 treatments.

Our team of nurses are passionate about the patient journey and helping you succeed.  They are highly skilled, qualified and ensure your day runs smoothly.

We focus on work-life balance and can be flexible with your hours and roster requirements.  Ideally you will work 4x days per week, with a variety of shifts but 3x days will also be considered if this is your preference. Our Saturday rotation is 1x Saturday morning every 4 – 5 weeks.

This position will commence in January 2024 through to July 2024.

If you have 3+ years’ experience in general small animal medicine, would love to work in a modern facility with the support you need to provide high quality veterinary care, become part of our fun and progressive team, we would love to hear from you!  As part of our recruitment process, we invite you to come and meet our team and spend a day in our hospital to experience the flow and our ethos.  After-hours is not a requirement of this position.
