The Opportunity

To support our rapid and continuous growth we are looking for a Veterinary Software and Services (VS&S) Customer Support Specialist to join our team in our Sydney (Rydalmere) office.  This role is to ensure our veterinary clinic customers are supported in the implementation of our IDEXX software in their practice. This is a “helpdesk” style role designed to provide support on a range of different software products.. It is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Veterinary Software and Services Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

As part of the dedicated support team, you will provide specialized remote support for our clients for various software products. The VS&S line of business sells, implements, and supports a wide range of products to veterinary clinics.  We assist veterinary clinics to optimize patient care and support business management using our proprietary integrated diagnostic software solutions. This is where you come in, utilizing your experience with technical support, training and client management to implement, train and support new technologies that enable veterinarians to drive their business and provide optimal medical outcomes.

 

The Successful candidate will have…

  • Work experience within a veterinary clinic and an understanding of veterinary practice workflow (useful)
  • Tertiary qualification/s in Information Technology
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft OS, deployment toolkits, products, licenses, and roadmap (useful)
  • Strong customer and solutions orientated focus
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to train and implement software
  • Demonstrated experience in a software support role, either help-desk or training is advantageous
  • An understanding of computer hardware and network connectivity is preferred.
  • Experience with administration of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange in a LAN environment (useful)
  • In-depth understanding of veterinary practice management software and how it relates to managing the veterinary clinic.
