Australian Clinical Labs is one of Australia’s leading Veterinary Pathology providers, with two dedicated veterinary laboratories within Australia. Each laboratory provides diagnostic pathology services for livestock, companion animal, university and research veterinarians as well zoo and wildlife organisations.

The Roles:
Clinical Labs - Gribbles Pathology is currently seeking:
- 1 x Part Time Veterinary Scientist - multi discipline
- 1 x Part Time Technical Officer
Both positions are part time to work 3 shifts per week at the Glenside laboratory, located less than 5km from Adelaide. Opportunity to pick up additional shifts at times to cover leave periods.
This Laboratory services the needs of the majority of small and large animal veterinarians in the state, and is also contracted to Primary Industries South Australia (PIRSA) to supply pathology services to the production industries in the state.
These exciting opportunities are both available for y requires the appointment of a suitably qualified and experienced Scientist.
To be considered for this role you will ideally have the below:
- Tertiary qualifications -Bachelor Degree in Science (Med Lab), Bachelor of Animal Science or suitable TAFE Qualifications
- Ability to review and report of veterinary blood films
- Start up and shut down of analysers
- Routine maintenance, troubleshooting and running of biochemistry and haematology analysers
- Review of QC Data
- Assist in set up of new tests
- Correlation of patient samples
- Processing of faecal samples
- Histology cut in of fixed tissue samples
- Ability to organise and prioritise workflow to meet the company’s and client requirements and SRA tasks as required
- Ability to consistently maintain compliance with Australian Clinical Labs Standard Operating Procedures at all times
- Maintain quality and compliance with NATA standards at all times and have a sound understanding of Quality and reporting requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders with a diverse range of people at all levels.
Both positions will suit a self-motivated individual who demonstrates an attention to detail, a can do attitude, and a strong focus on outstanding customer service.
