Description
JCUVet is the clinical teaching small animal hospital for James Cook University. Located on campus, we provide excellence in clinical training for veterinary students through our small animal GP practice and Emergency Animal Hospital.
We are looking to appoint a further permanent part time receptionist to commit to a fixed pattern of the following specific shifts weekly:
- Saturday 4.00pm – 10.00pm
- Sunday 8.00am – 4.00pm
We can consider one individual who can commit to both of the above shifts on a permanent and ongoing basis, or alternatively one person for each shift. Please note, this is a permanent part time role.
You will be confident providing reception, administrative and clerical support; liaising with clinical staff, customers and external veterinarians. Your admin skills are well developed and you will relish the opportunity to work with us in the further enhancement of our reception service, administrative systems and patient care.
You will undergo job induction, however you will hit the ground running and therefore must have previous reception experience, and want to continue working as a career receptionist.
Essential requirements for this role include:
- Experienced receptionist
- Individuals who are confident and willing to have a go at new things
- Warm, friendly personality and great team players
- Strong administration, computer and system skills
- Professionally presented with excellent grooming
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Focused on delivering exceptional customer care
- Organised and efficient, yet empathetic towards customers in distress
