We are Taranaki Veterinary Centre, one of the largest veterinary practices in New Zealand, Operating from multiple practices in South and Central Taranaki employing 33 veterinarians and 54 support staff.

We are looking for superstar Veterinary Receptionists for our Stratford and Manaia Branches. We are focused on providing excellent customer service, carrying out administrative tasks, and going that extra mile for our people and their pets, some of whom have been with us for generations. Our loyal and caring team is friendly, cohesive, and highly supportive of one another.

In a clinic where no two days are the same, you will be the first friendly face our people and animals of all sizes will see greeting them at the door. Day to day you will be assisting with customer inquiries, booking systems, and data entry, as well as supporting our team with stock work, and organising utilities the clinic will need to perform at our professional level.

We are seeking individuals who enjoy variety and organisation in a role. You will be customer driven, have a positive attitude, a love for people and animals, and have knowledge of the local area. Having some experience of the dairy industry (maybe you grew up on a farm?) would hold you in good stead for your new adventure.

You will love using your skills across a wide variety of areas including:

• Handling phone bookings and email inquiries
• General administrative duties
• Keeping records and reports up to date
• Retail responsibilities
• Supporting all departments (Veterinarians, technicians, nurses, farm supplies, and administration)

Hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and the occasional Saturday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
