Forbes Street Vet (FSV) is a well-established small animal practice, located in Devonport, Tasmania.  The practice provides exceptional and professional veterinary care to pets and their owners. We have a strong reputation among a loyal client base for providing high standards of care and treatment, as well as an exceptional client experience.

We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager who can manage and support the clinic and our employees.

About the role: 

• Managing the day-to-day operational requirements of running a veterinary hospital
• Oversee the financial administration of the hospital and reaching budget expectations (including rostering and the approval of the payroll)
• Implementing and driving local marketing initiatives
• Ensure there is strong communication amongst the team and driving the team to meet their goals
• Ensuring practice meetings are held monthly
• Conduct annual veterinary staff performance evaluations, including identification of training and development needs and provide constructive feedback
• Resolve staff problems, performance concerns, and conflicts
• Recruitment and induction of new team members as required
• Develop and implement Work Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation

What you will need to bring:

• Excellent time management, organisational skills and ability to work towards deadlines is essential
• Great rapport building with both colleagues and clients
• Proven background as a Practice Manager in a busy and fast paced environment is essential
• Multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Business administration qualification or Diploma of Practice Management preferred but not essential
