An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Zoetis Companion Animal Veterinary Operations team and support Zoetis’ portfolio. This full-time role is a 12-month fixed parental leave contract, ideally based in Perth.

We’re looking for a dynamic veterinarian who shares our passion for the veterinary profession and the wider animal health industry. Ideally someone who lives in Perth, WA. What’s the job:

  • Create and deliver technical training on the Zoetis portfolio to internal stakeholders
  • Work as part of a cross functional team of technical, sales, marketing and regulatory affairs to provide technical support for the Zoetis portfolio, with a particular focus on the Anaesthesia & Analgesia portfolio
  • Respond to queries and provide high level technical and product support to customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and universities to assist in the development of scientific and clinical work
  • Provide professional support (talks, webinars etc) to a wide variety of external stakeholders i.e. veterinary schools, key accounts, veterinary clients, pet stores
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and Zoetis hosted events whilst maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards

Key skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) with the ability to convey technical information to a range of audiences
  • Keen desire to be actively involved in the veterinary profession; stay current on veterinary advances
  • Ability to collaborate with customers, providing exceptional technical customer service
  • Exceptional relationship management, interpersonal skills and influencing abilities
  • Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently as well as part of a high performing multidisciplinary team
  • Flexible and empathetic team player
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills; change agile

 

Training & qualifications:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine is required
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working as a clinical veterinarian
  • Previous experience in an animal health industry or similar role is preferred but not essential
  • Additional veterinary qualifications are highly desirable

 

Travel requirements:

 Ability to undertake local and interstate travel to deliver customer meetings, attend conferences etc.

  • Some overnight and weekend travel required
  • Valid driving licence
