Description
This is one of two new positions currently advertised within the Animal Health group in the Department of Primary Industries and Regions South Australia, based in Adelaide.
Working as part of the Epidemiology and Risk team, this role provides you with an exciting opportunity to assist in building PIRSA’s preparedness to respond to disease threats such as foot-and-mouth disease, lumpy skin disease, and African swine fever.
You will undertake a variety of activities, contributing to the development of policies in epidemiology and broader animal health programs, completion of epidemiological and risk analyses, and provision of other technical advice into emergency animal disease preparedness activities and other animal health programs.
This role is suitable for veterinarians with prior experience within government veterinary services but is also open to other veterinarians who would like to apply their broader veterinary skills to a new area. If you are looking for an exciting new challenge, this one’s for you!
