Our small, friendly team is passionate about delivering exceptional service and holistic preventative care, while also supporting the local community and animal rescue groups. The Role: We are looking for dedicated vet nurses to join our after-hours team.
Key duties include:
- Phone triage and booking, managing emergencies, and liaising with the on-duty vet.
- Monitoring anaesthetics, calculating drug dosages, and providing care to in-patients.
- Record keeping, updating owners, and ensuring smooth communication during treatment.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment, cages, and facilities.
Shifts:
- Weekdays:
4 pm - 10 pm or midnight, with extended shifts as needed. - Weekends:
8 am - 4:30 pm
4 pm – 12.30 am
Midnight to 8.30 am - Casual shorter shifts may become available as the clinic grows.
Requirements:
- Ideally 3-4 years of experience as a qualified veterinary nurse.
- Experience or interest in emergency/triage nursing.
- Interest in integrative/holistic veterinary medicine (e.g., acupuncture, herbal treatments) is a plus.
- Empathy, clear communication, and a calm approach during emergencies.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Start Date:
Positions available to start from mid-November to December 1st.
