The Belmont Veterinary Centre is a small, family owned and run companion animal practice that has been servicing our local community for more than 25 years.

About the role

This is an excellent learning opportunity as this 3 vet practice has a wide case load giving exposure to surgical and medical cases, anaesthetics and x-rays, nursing consultations and team based health care.

There is an opportunity to quickly take on a meaningful role as a valued team member in our fully equipped veterinary hospital. Salary is initially at award level, but provides ample work experience for those committed to their veterinary nursing studies. Experienced nurses demonstrating above award level competencies are appropriately renumerated.

Skills and experience

No experience is required. Engagement in veterinary  nurse training is encouraged for unqualified candidates, although the Monday-Friday nature of this position make it most suitable for those studying by Distance Education. As experience is gained weekend work will be a requirement of ongoing employment.

Please note there is some flexibiity as to hours for qualified candidates. In order to complement the learning experience of unqualified candidates however, full time employment is a requirement.

We need someone who is reliable and compassionate with excellent communication and customer service skills.
