The Veterinary Nurse Assistant at Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP) Seymour cares for 25 dogs daily, assists with animal movement, supports vets in procedures, maintains clinic cleanliness, and handles administrative tasks.
We are currently looking for a Veterinary Nurse Assistant to join us on a full-time basis at our Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP) located in Seymour. The role is responsible for ensuring that Greyhounds receive efficient and compassionate care each day, directly contributing to their overall health and well-being. The successful candidate will be involved in the daily care and treatment of dogs, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, maintain animal welfare and contribute to the overall smooth operations of the clinic.

The Veterinary Nurse Assistant is also required to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic clinic environment, supporting both animal care and clinic standards.

We offer competitive pay, with this position classified as grade 1 under the GRV Employee Enterprise Agreement 2023-2024 which attracts a base salary of $53,814 per annum.

Due to the nature of our work, our successful candidate will need to:

• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Kennel hand/animal attendant experience preferred, but not required
• Training towards certificate 3 in Animal Studies or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
