We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced full-time or part-time Veterinary Nurse with a minimum of 2+ years in a small animal veterinary medicine practice to join our small but enthusiastic team.

The Tasks & Responsibilities 

• Assist our Vets with routine examinations.
• Surgical and hospital nursing including monitoring anesthetics.
• Pre and post-operative patient care including grief support to clients.
• Prepare and administer medications as required.
• Admission and discharge of hospital and surgical cases.
• Communicate treatment plans to clients.
• Blood collection and testing, IV catheter placement.
• Assist with x-rays and ultrasounds.
• Assist with dental scale and polish of dental patients & radiographs.
• Sterilization of instruments according to practice sterilisation procedures.
• General day to day nursing duties to support our Vets and working with your team members to ensure the highest patient care.
• General cleaning duties to help make the clinic sparkle.
• Reception duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience 

• Veterinary Nurse Certificate IV.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
• A positive outlook and a willingness to be involved in all aspects of the team.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• The ability to multi-task, remain calm under pressure, and manage a high-volume workload.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work towards deadlines.
• Great rapport-building with colleagues, clients, and the community.
• Strong nursing skills covering all aspects of medical and surgical veterinary care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
