Forbes St Vet Clinic is expanding and currently has an opportunity for an experienced Vet Nurse to join our team. The practice provides exceptional and professional veterinary care to pets and their owners. We have a strong reputation among a loyal client base for providing high standards of care and treatment and excellent customer service.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced full-time or part-time Veterinary Nurse with a minimum of 2+ years in a small animal veterinary medicine practice to join our small but enthusiastic team.

The Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist our Vets with routine examinations.
- Surgical and hospital nursing including monitoring anesthetics.
- Pre and post-operative patient care including grief support to clients.
- Prepare and administer medications as required.
- Admission and discharge of hospital and surgical cases.
- Communicate treatment plans to clients.
- Blood collection and testing, IV catheter placement.
- Assist with x-rays and ultrasounds.
- Assist with dental scale and polish of dental patients & radiographs.
- Sterilization of instruments according to practice sterilisation procedures.
- General day to day nursing duties to support our Vets and working with your team members to ensure the highest patient care.
- General cleaning duties to help make the clinic sparkle.
- Reception duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Veterinary Nurse Certificate IV.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
- A positive outlook and a willingness to be involved in all aspects of the team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- The ability to multi-task, remain calm under pressure, and manage a high-volume workload.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work towards deadlines.
- Great rapport-building with colleagues, clients, and the community.
- Strong nursing skills covering all aspects of medical and surgical veterinary care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
