This position is for a permanent nurse who can chose whether to work solely in Belconnen or across both our Belconnen and Gundaroo centre's on a set roster.

BELCONNEN VET CENTRE:
Home to a CT machine, MRI machine and other exciting specialised imaging procedures, our Belconnen Vet Centre is filled with professionally challenging and varied medical and surgical procedures. Including but not limited to; complex soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, and more.

And for those who enjoy a relaxing walk or just enjoy the outside on their lunch break, we are located a stones throw from the Westfield Mall and Ginninderra lake.

WHAT THE ROLE INCLUDES:
* Permanent full-time position, consisting of a 4 day work week (9.5hr work days) and limited rotating weekend shift (you will have an additional RDO during that week)
* Shared workload between medical and surgical duties.
* Assisting vets in day to day procedures and surgical duties.
* Triage and emergency treatments.
* Surgical preparation and assistance.
* Cleaning and sterilisation of equipment and surfaces.
* Admitting and discharging patients.
* Performing in-house pathology and diagnostic tests.
* Nursing appointments.

ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for a nurse who has:
* Completed Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing with a minimum of 1 year experience.
* High standards to patient care.
* Confidence working in a team.
* Confident in your nursing ability.
* A desire for surgical nursing.
* Attention to detail.
* An ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Eager to learn and grow within the industry and team.

Please know that experience in nursing orthopaedic and specialised imaging patients is not necessary and training will be provided.
