Singleton Heights Veterinary Hospital are looking for a friendly, passionate & dedicated vet nurse with at least 2+ years nursing experience in our small animal practice, to work along side our 3 experienced nurses.
About Us
We are a privately owned small animal clinic in the heart of the beautiful Hunter Valley. Our wonderful team has been caring for our lovely clients and their fur babies for nearly 3 years and have established a wonderful relationship with them.
Our team is dedicated and small with one full time vet, 1 part time vet and 4 nurses, which allows us to provide personalised care to our clients and patients.

About the Role
The role involves all aspects of nursing on a rotational shift;
- surgical nursing- Induction, monitoring anaesthetics, patient care & discharge consults
- medical nursing- Hospital patients, assisting with, x-rays & ultrasound
- reception, admission & nurse consults
- hospital cleaning & equipment maintenance.
You will be working closely with 2 to 3 nurses a day, sharing roles and supporting each other as well as the vet. Communication skills within the team and with clients are highly valued in our small team.
Currently, the roster is a 38 hour, 4 day week with one Saturday ( 8.30am-12:30pm) in every four, with no on call duties.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with at least 2 years experience in small animal practice.
- Dedication to providing best practice care to our patients and service to our clients, with a friendly, kind and compassionate manner.
- Confidence in blood collection, IV placement, anaesthetic monitoring, equipment set up and good aseptic techniques.
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently when required.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
