CERT IV QUALIFIED VETERINARY NURSE

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Angle Park Veterinary Clinic. As a qualified Veterinary Nurse - Certificate IV, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our patients and their owners at our clinic located in Angle Park, South Australia.

 

What you'll be doing

• Assisting veterinarians in consultations, examinations, surgeries and other medical procedures (including x-ray, ultrasounds, dentistry)
• Triaging emergency patients, unscheduled patients and wildlife as required
• Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients, including administering medications and providing nursing care
• Performing various veterinary nursing duties, such as taking and processing lab samples, and maintaining medical records
• Providing exceptional customer service and education to pet owners
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for useParticipating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in veterinary nursing

 

What we're looking for

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Nurse or equivalent position in a small animal practice
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both clients and the veterinary team
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanour
• Genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing the highest standard of care
