Do you have a passion for the wonderful avian world? We are seeking veterinary nurses to join our team at the Brisbane Bird Vets, who have recently become part of The Unusual Pet Vets group.

The successful candidates will become part of the biggest and most supportive exotic veterinary group in the Southern Hemisphere, collaborating with our fantastic team from all around Australia.

We are seeking to recruit:

• 1 x Part Time Veterinary Nurse to work three x 10 hour weekdays each week
• 2 x Casual Veterinary Nurses

The successful candidates will:

• Hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent. Prior avian nursing experience will be highly regarded.
• Be passionate about working in an avian only practice.
• Strive to offer a high standard of care and want to work with other vets and nurses who are like-minded.
• Possess excellent communication skills and enjoy communicating with clients and uphold our gold standard approach to building and maintaining relationships.
• Be team players, with a positive attitude towards work and fellow team members, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Have excellent time management and organisation skills.
• Be hard-working, well organised, efficient, and reliable, with strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Reside nearby to the clinic and be able to travel to work at short notice.
• Be looking for a long-term position where you can develop, while we invest in your career with us.

Other information:

• To apply, applicants must meet the criteria listed above as well as possess proficiency in computer applications and software. Experience with Ezyvet and Smartflow is desirable, but not essential.
• Applicants must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.
