Our hospital:

Asquith Veterinary Hospital is a large well-established small animal practice located in the fast-growing area of Asquith NSW (https://asquithvet.com.au/). This state-of-the-art, purpose built, clinic is open 7 days a week, Monday to Sunday, and is conveniently located near the train line, Pacific Highway and M1.  The hospital has the latest equipment, including a CT scanner, newly renovated purpose-built surgical suite and clinic, modern consulting and waiting rooms and low stress handling for our patients. The Position:

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the overall business and hospital services comply with all regulatory requirements
  • Ensure the hospital meets monthly KPI targets and yearly budget
  • Develop, approve, and maintain veterinary standards of care within the hospital
  • Provide leadership by overseeing and managing veterinarians and the support team in the practice with regards to policies, procedures, and performance
  • Manage and monitor hospital compliance for legal guidelines, internal policies, and quality standards
  • Conduct annual veterinary staff performance evaluations, including identification of training and development needs and providing constructive feedback
  • Identify and drive continuous education for the veterinary team
  • Ensure the Hospital is meeting all WHS regulations accordance with the Vet Surgeons Board
  • ensuring the regulatory compliance of the hospital and will develop, approve, and maintain a high level of Veterinary standard of care.
  • Veterinary registration, radiation licence and micro chipping licence is also essential.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • The ability to coach, develop, and motivate employees
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • 5+ years small animal veterinary medicine practice
  • Formal business education and/or training is highly desired
  • Proven experience as clinical supervisor/director is highly desired
  • Previous experience with the preparation and management of hospital budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Capable of quality veterinary decision making.
