About the opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Clinical Skills Centre Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of our Veterinary Clinical Skills Centre. This pivotal role will enhance the teaching and skills development for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed) and Bachelor of Veterinary Technology (BVetTech) courses. The Clinical Skills Centre aims to support students in achieving Day One competencies, ensuring that our graduates are motivated, skilled team players who possess the professional attributes, skills, and knowledge highly valued in the veterinary profession.
As the Veterinary Clinical Skills Centre Coordinator, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, innovative, learner-centered teaching. You will be responsible for developing clinical skills models and creating immersive veterinary simulation experiences. Additionally, you will contribute to the delivery of the BVetMed and BVetTech curricula and manage the teaching spaces and resources effectively.
About you
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in Veterinary or Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or Veterinary Nursing.
You have demonstrated experience in the clinical skills development of veterinary medicine and/or veterinary technology students, as well as a proven track record in managing and developing clinical teaching and learning resources. In addition, you will have:
- Collaborative skills that enable you to work effectively within a team environment to achieve common goals
- Excellent oral and written communication skills allow you to negotiate effectively with stakeholders and to demonstrate and explain technical procedures to staff and students
- High level interpersonal skills to engage and communicate effectively with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders, including contacts in the animal or veterinary science industry and professional circles
Salary and benefits

- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at our Lismore campus. Generous relocation support available.
- HEW Level 6. The base salary ranges from $88,301 - $96,849 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $113,313.
