As part of IDEXX you will be making a difference to pets and peoples’ lives by providing excellent animal care. Our veterinary pathologists play a key role in exceeding our customers’ expectations through interpretation of results and providing professional advice. Our stimulating caseload includes companion and production animals, equine, and exotic species. The successful applicant will be part of a strong professional services team consisting of 21 pathologists, 4 Internal Medicine Consultants, and 1 pathology resident working across 6 reference laboratories in the ANZ region. Further, there are excellent established connections with international colleagues across the global IDEXX network.
Requirements for this role include:
- Veterinary degree suitable for registration in NZ and Australia.
- Specialist qualification in veterinary clinical pathology is preferred (ACVP or ECVP board certification or Fellow of ANZCVS). Board eligible applicants will also be considered.
- Previous experience (minimum 1 year) in diagnostic veterinary pathology is preferred. Applicants with less diagnostic experience but appropriate qualifications will also be considered.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, commitment to providing a quality service and ability to work in a team environment.
- Full working rights within NZ and/or Australia.
- Starting date is flexible, but we are looking to fill this position early in 2022.
Daily tasks include providing comprehensive reports and interpretations for the core clinical pathology disciplines of haematology, biochemistry, endocrinology, urinalysis, and cytology. Review and batch reporting of serology, PCR, trace elements and microbiology cases are also expected.
Why IDEXX:
