Role Overview: Are you a dedicated and driven veterinarian eager to make a substantial impact in the animal health and pet industry? Join our growing Veterinary team as a Veterinary Area Manager, overseeing our 11 stores across New South Wales. In this newly developed role, you will initially be required to perform day-to-day veterinary clinical duties. As the role evolves, you'll step in and play a pivotal part in executing strategic plans to achieve business goals, drive sales growth, and ensure the smooth operations of our veterinary clinics.

 

Key Responsibilities: As a seasoned Senior Vet, you will be responsible for providing regular health checks for animals. You’ll perform thorough examinations to assess their overall health. This includes checking vital signs, assessing body condition, and identifying any potential issues. You’ll administer vaccines to protect animals from common illnesses.

You’ll prescribe and dispense medications. This involves understanding the pharmacology of various drugs, their potential side effects, and proper dosages.

 

Your duties will include:

  • Administering vaccinations and performing health checks.
  • Dispensing prescription medication and providing general healthcare advice.
  • Driving business development initiatives and building our client base in each clinic.
  • Managing appointments, inventory, and supplier relationships.
  • Providing top-notch veterinary support to our customers.
  • Ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining high standards of care.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience working as a veterinarian, with excellent clinical skills and sound medical knowledge.
  • Previous experience in veterinary multi-site management or a similar role required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, prioritizing team satisfaction.
