Description
True Mixed Practice in the Heart of the Darling Downs
We are looking for a new Veterinarian graduate/recent graduate to join our mixed practice. We always try to foster a work life balance in a great team environment, always providing support from the range of ages and experience that we currently have.
Snapshot of what we can offer:
- We pay our staff above award by the hour and not as a salary as we believe it is important that you are paid for what you do. We also support each other through sharing the jobs to allow people to complete write ups and leave on time. We encourage following up on previous cases to create great client rapport and learning experiences.
- We have adequate staffing to ensure you have time to settle in and learn the ropes. We encourage professional development through a range of online learning platforms and external courses.
- We do minimal horse work due to numerous dedicated horse veterinarians in our area. We are then able to provide more services for cattle, sheep, goats and many more.
- We share afterhours 1 in 4 nights on call during the week and 1 in 4 weekends. We then allow an extra rostered day off the following week for when completing a weekend on call.
- We have a low staff turnover as we pride ourselves on providing support as well as a balanced working life. We have a great team of older and younger veterinarians with knowledge and skills.
- We provide a flexible 4-8 week roster ahead of time to try and accommodate peoples holidays and special occasions .
- We have a range of in-house diagnostic tools available being vet lab blood machine, digital DR x-ray, ultrasound, cattle pregnancy ultrasound and bull testing equipment.
- We commonly do a range of small and large animal procedures that can sometimes be unique but are close enough to referral if needed.
