The opportunity
Paradise Country are seeking a Full-Time Salary team member to assist the Veterinarian and Wildlife Curator maintain the health and welfare of the animal collection at Paradise Country.

 

Your day to day:
• (Assist the veterinarian to maintain the preventative medical program at Paradise Country.
• Assist the veterinarian with any animal procedures at Paradise Country.
• Assist in the husbandry of the Paradise Country animal collection under the supervision of the Curatorial staff at Paradise Country.
• Dispense and administer drugs to animals at Paradise Country under the supervision of the veterinarian.
• Ability to recognise particular animal traits and behaviours and effectively handle wildlife for guest encounters and presentations.
• Maintain the equipment in the veterinary

 

What you’ll bring:
• (Veterinary Technician Bachelor qualification or similar preferred.
• Experience working with native and/or exotic species in a zoological setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proven ability to establish effective working relationships with other veterinary and animal keeping staff, and external contacts.
• Manual drivers licence an advantage.
• Koala handling experience an advantage.
