The Role

Knight Benedikt has recently become part of Vimian, a large international animal health company with brands such as VOI, Kyon, Biomedtrix, IMEX and Nextmune. These products will now be added to the existing Knight Benedikt range and we require a knowledgeable veterinarian with clinical experience to help us provide first-class customer support.

This role requires a professional, self-motivated individual, ideally with expertise in the surgical and orthopaedic area. Surgical specialist qualifications or a surgical ANZCVS membership (or equivalent) would be desirable but not required. The remuneration will reflect the applicant's qualifications and abilities.

Based in Sydney, the position would mainly involve advising clients on products such as instruments, equipment and orthopaedic implants. Other responsibilities would include working with our purchasing team to source new products and collaborate with Vimian's international network to develop and refine new and existing product ranges. Additionally, attendance at a limited number of conferences (eg. Science Week) plus some of our practical workshops would be required - this may include travel to Auckland. This role is not expected to involve any clinic visits and weekend work would be limited to the occasional attendance at conferences and workshops (with time off in lieu).

You will be supported by a customer service team and two managing directors who are both veterinarians. We also work closely with a number of veterinary specialists who can offer advice or collegial discussion.

The role can be part-time or full-time

Responsibilities

• Technical advice: Provide product support to veterinarians, particularly in the orthopaedic and surgical area
• Product development/refinement: Collaborate with both local and international teams to improve and refine Knight Benedikt's product range
• Conferences/workshops: Attend and help to plan Knight Benedikt's conference visits and practical workshop

Skills and Experience

• A veterinary degree and registration as a veterinarian in Australia
• Clinical veterinary experience
• A passion for high standards of customer service
• Good written and spoken English
