Our successful PRIVATE Veterinary hospital has created a rare and exciting opportunity for an EXPERIENCED Veterinarian to join our team in a full-time capacity.  Working with a truly wonderful community of patients and clients to realise complete wellness is very rewarding, we have just that opportunity.

This role requires a desire to flex your full range of Veterinary muscles – each day presenting a mosaic of cases and the need to reinforce our respected brand by driving exceptional preventative health outcomes encompassing; dietary, behavioural, dental, geriatric and sports medicine. This is a key role for a candidate wishing to career progress eventually into senior role of Veterinary Director - learning ropes in a real-world private business setting.

Clinical excellence, communication, business growth and cutting-edge technology are key aspects to this role, and our practice is fully integrated with the latest digital clinical equipment (BM5, iM3, ultrasound, xray) with EzyVet and Smartflow software.  The successful candidate will have the proven experience to lead each day to maximise both clinical and commercial goals in a private business while enjoying the experience and opportunity.

Our role requires:

  • BVSC and state based Veterinary registration
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with the ability to sole charge
  • Exceptional work ethic, professional integrity
  • Proven excellence in written and spoken communication
  • Experience and enthusiasm for advancement of industry via adoption of latest digital technology
  • Desire to learn skills quickly and further develop clinical and surgical repertoire
  • healthy, active candidate with balanced lifestyle including interests outside work
  • Proven talent in conversion of required dentals into surgical bookings
  • Experience leading diagnostic plans for patients which incorporate blood testing, cytology, histopathology, ultrasonography and radiography
  • Proven fabulous business acumen with understanding of sales, marketing and profit (experience in private business favourable, and proven understanding of how to drive private business model to excel)
  • Ability to lead, manage and support the performance of your team to ensure excellent customer service and clinical management of cases (including rostering and performance management)
  • Proven ability to excel when prioritising and managing multiple tasks efficiently, this role requires excellent organisational skills and drive to complete tasks
  • Desire to expand your role as a Veterinary Surgeon to all corners of your knowledge in a robust and exciting general practice setting (preventative health, behaviour, surgical, clinical, wildlife, arthritis, nutrition)
  • Experience and dedication to community projects, events and initiatives
