Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR) is a community-focused animal welfare charity that is committed to achieving our mission to enrich the lives of companion animals by reducing overpopulation, increase adoptions and engage the hearts, hands and minds of the community.

We are at an exciting point in our growth and development and are currently seeking another dedicated, like-minded veterinarian to join us on our exciting journey.

The role

We are currently seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our team in our brand new, purpose-built, not-for-profit Community Animal Hospital in Craigieburn.

We are looking to fill a full-time and a part-time position. You will be closely involved with SCAR as we grow and you will play a key role in improving and expanding the vital support programs we provide to our community.

This role is flexible and we will work around your hours of availability as best as possible!

Skills and experience

• Minimum of 2 year's experience as a qualified veterinarian (new graduates will also be considered)
• Strong general surgery skills and good behaviour medication knowledge
• Sound emotional maturity and a passion for animal welfare
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
