Animal Options Vet Clinic are looking for a full-time veterinarian with at least two years experience to connect with our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to accelerate their aspiration and grow with us. Animal Options Vet Clinic has a great team of vet nurses, receptionists, vets and a practice manager that are passionate about patient &client care working on an innovative vet business model: a fully established clinic offering mobile consults. We integrate Wet Noses MobileVet with our Animal Options Vet Clinic.

You have the option to work in a clinic or in our mobile units, where a vet nurse will assist in your house calls. Our base clinic is fully equipped with all the sparkly things you want: DR and dental Xrays, Idexx blood test machines, excellent dental equipment, electrocautery, infusion pumps etc. We all know this job is tough, and some clients can be difficult, so we are committed to having time to simply be happy at work.

Key responsibilities

• See around 7 - 10 patients a day
• Perform clinical procedures and surgeries (including examination & diagnosis, pathological testing, procedures and surgeries, prescription & administration of medication);
• Vaccinating animals against infectious diseases
• Providing obstetric services for animals
• Conducting autopsies on the pets and prepare reports for clients
• Help prevent the occurrence and spread of animal diseases
• Building constructive relationships with suppliers, service providers and clients in line with our values.

Experience and qualifications

• Veterinary science degree
• 2 years full-time experience as a clinical vet

• Excellent salary package between $85,000 and $120,000 per year which recognises your skills, experience and commitment
• Clients are informed of the costs upfront and aware that a convenient service is more expensive, so minimal  surprises or frustrations during the visit.
• The appointment list is well organised, no walk-ins, no clients calling you, there are minimal interruptions
• Receptionists are very well trained and will keep everything in check, so you’re more organised.
• You alway shave the help of your home base clinic with all the whistles, technology, staff, everything you need.
• From client to client you will be driving through beautiful scenery on the Gold Coast, from the coast to the bush, there is always a great coffee shop where you can pull over for lunch (which will be allocated on your appointment list so you can eat in peace).
• We are flexible, with time, with your roster, with your appointment list, with how you want to handle your day, with what’s your special interest.
