The Cat Hospital of Metairie is happily on the hunt for a new veterinarian to join our amazing team! We are a well-established, feline-only practice that opened our doors in 1990. Our founding DVM, Dr. Karen Miller-Becnel, has been in practice for over 50 years, has served 6 years as an AAFP board member, and was the past president of the New Orleans VMA. She is joined by two other experienced and passionate associate doctors that are beyond excited to have another DVM work alongside them.

Our practice provides high levels of surgery, dentistry, and ultrasound, and is looking for a doctor that has the same interests. We have a diverse surgical caseload including spay/neuter, organ biopsy, foreign body removal, perineal urethrostomies, and basic orthopedic repairs. Our technicians are talented in IV placement, anesthesia support, surgical nursing, and dental cleanings / radiographs, so our doctors always have ample support in these procedures.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start in a part-time position (2 days per week and 1 to 2 Saturdays per month) that can develop into a full-time role with leadership opportunity. If you are a confident, feline-loving veterinarian, we encourage you to apply!
