Organisational Objectives
The Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge Society (SCARS) is an independent not for profit charity established in 1979 to provide temporary refuge, care and eventually new homes for abandoned, abused, stray and unwanted cats and dogs on the Sunshine Coast. SCARS operates subject to a governed non-euthanasia policy, rescuing and re-homing around 1000 cats and dogs every year. Providing education and resources to the community in respect of responsible pet ownership is also a key objective for SCARS.

 

Job Role

SCARS is seeking a permanent part time qualified Vet to join our fantastic team. Three days per week

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Perform in refuge medical procedures, including but not limited to, general health checks, desexing, vaccinations etc.
  • Surgical skills needed or willingness to upskill.
  • Requires detailed hand over and system updating, to ensure seamless care.
