Could you be our Saturday vet?

The Cat Protection Society vet clinic (open to the public) is expanding to open on Saturdays. We are looking for a vet to work Saturdays 8.30am to 1pm. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in Feline Medicine. We are a silver-accredited ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic.

This will be a new shift in a well-established clinic, that has previously been open weekdays only. If interested there will be the opportunity to work 1-2 weekdays in the clinic as well. We can discuss options if you apply or call. If two people apply for the job, we can make this position alternative Saturdays. Best to get in early so we can make the roster work for you : )

You will be joining a team of 4 committed, supportive and experienced vets in our new facilities. We have digital xrays, dental xrays, ultrasound, in-house Idexx blood machine, capnograph, blood pressure monitoring and multiple bright, spacious surgical suites. On Saturdays we anticipate routine consultations and we will not hospitalise over the weekend.

We value collaboration, integrity and a respectful work environment. We try to look out for each other and enjoy ourselves at work. The shelter will also be open for adoptions on Saturdays so the coffee machine and barista will be on duty.

The Cat Protection Society of Victoria is a not-for-profit animal welfare organisation that has been operating for over 70 years. This year we are on track to rehome or adopt up to 2000 cats. We look forward to seeing these successful adoptions as loved companion cats in the vet clinic.
