Veterinarian Required!!!

Full-Time/Part-time/Locum shifts available - Australia – North Brisbane, QLD

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and above award. A company vehicle is also on offer for the right candidate. No after hours and hours of work are open to be negotiated.

New graduates are welcome to apply. Locums are also welcomed to apply with availabilities.

 

About Brighton Veterinary Surgery

Brighton Veterinary Surgery is searching for the right person to join our busy and friendly privately owned vet practice.

Brighton Vets is a well-established, yet still growing small animal practice. The surgery is well equipped and boasts a lovely clientele in an excellent location. We adhere to a very clear ambition to provide an excellent standard of customer and patient care to our community within a relaxed and nurturing workplace. Our team strives to provide support for one another, in a happy, positive, and encouraging team environment.

We are currently a 1 vet (permanent) and 3 nurse practice with a dedicated receptionist. We offer and provide various diagnostics, basic surgeries, and dental procedures.  All Orthopaedics and specialist field procedures are referred or are performed by our mobile specialist/s.

Our successful applicant will bring to our team:

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or an equivalent degree recognised in Australia
  • Skill and experience in all aspects of dog and cat medicine and surgery is preferred but not essential.
  • A positive ‘can do’ & friendly attitude with the ability to work confidently and independently. Being comfortable to work sole charge if required is desirable. New grads will not be expected to work sole charge without transition and training.
  • Be happy to work with other vets and be actively involved in case discussion, collaboration, and sharing of new information.
  • A desire to grow yourself and develop your career while providing support and mentoring for our lovely team of dedicated nurses.
  • Remain current and progressive in continuing their education and be willing to bring those acquired skills to benefit the clinics growth and development.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail and high standards of patient care.

 

For New Graduates we guarantee in the initial weeks:

  • No surgery while you find your feet & then starting with routine surgeries to assist to build your confidence & speed.
