Furkids located in Greenbank a rural residential suburb southwest of Brisbane. This modern all-inclusive clinic offers cutting edge diagnostics, expertise, and professional service. Furkids is led by Dr Jo Beckett, who has 20 years’ experience and extensive knowledge in orthopaedics, soft tissue, reconstruction and reproduction. We have a high caseload of interesting patients, including Brachycephalic breeds, complex medical cases and reproduction.

The Position

We are looking for our next star Vet Nurse to join our wonderful team on a part-time permanent basis (approx 25 - 30 hours per week) ! As a Vet Nurse with FurKids, you will play a vital role in supporting our experienced Vets in all facets of a small animal veterinary practice and assist with reception and administration tasks as required.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Superstar nurse with amazing customer service skills.
• Previous experience working as a Vet Nurse as well as customer facing positions within the animal industry.
• Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing desirable, but not essential.
• Experience in reproduction and brachycephalic animals would be beneficial, but not essential.
• The ability to manage a busy appointment schedule & assist with reception administration tasks.
• Prior experience and ability to prepare patients for surgery, administer medication, communicate with clients on their pet’s progress and assist with consultations.
• An empathetic, caring person that always advocates for their patients.
• An eye for detail, a good work ethic and a willingness to keep learning and improving both themselves and the practice.
