We are seeking a Vet Nurse Director for our GP and emergency and critical care referral hospital. This is an exciting, full-time opportunity for the right candidate.

About this position:-

• This role will provide guidance and support to lead our vet nursing team so that our nurses thrive in their roles
• Coach and mentor nursing staff
• Drive staff motivation and productivity
• Foster a cohesive and positive work environment supporting our values of care, collaboration, communication and attention to detail
• Management of conflict and resolution processes
• Participate in the ongoing performance management of nursing staff
• Assist with development and training of nurses
• Assist with onboarding of new employees
• Oversee and manage shift changes for our 24/7 roster
• Promote and implement company policies
• Perform nursing tasks to an exceptional level

About you:-

• Qualified Veterinary Nurse/Technician with a minimum of 5 years experience
• Extensive experience in emergency patient care
• Prior leadership or people management skills essential
• Well developed time management skills
• The ability to work as an effective team member alongside other managers
• On-call availability outside of regular working hours
• Experience in management of senior and supporting nursing staff
• High attention to detail
• Initiative
