Vet Nurse Position - Available at Ulysses Vets Cairns, FNQ

We are a close-knit, family-run, small animal clinic in Far North Queensland, and are currently seeking another Vet Nurse to join our incredible, ever-growing team!

This position is ideal for someone with a passion for vet nursing, who has great communication skills within their team. You would be joining a fun, knowledgeable and supportive team who very much enjoy a laugh at the end of each day.

This role includes every aspect of surgical nursing, hospital & reception shifts at both our Stratford & Whitfield clinics. We will work together to figure out your ideal workload.

Your primary responsibilities in this role will include:

• All aspects of surgical nursing, anaesthetics, radiography, dental & more
• High quality care & management of all hospital inpatients
• Reception duties, administration & confident over the phone triage
• Highly effective & thorough communication with your team each day

The successful candidate will:

• Have a high standard of care & compassion when it comes to all patients, clients & staff
• Be attentive & knowledgeable to all animals & their needs
• Understand the importance of reception duties & high-level organisational skills within a vet clinic
• Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the veterinary industry, preferably vet nursing
• Have a minimum Cert II in Animal Studies or equivalent
