About the role 

Due to business growth, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our Commercial team.  Reporting to the Regional Manager North, the role will be responsible for maintaining existing clients, identifying and developing new opportunities to position Vetoquinol amongst the preferred animal health companies in the market.   This is full time position, covering the southern Sydney area (south of the Sydney harbour).

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving agreed product sales objectives and territory targets by promoting and selling a range of products and services to new and existing customers in accordance with the business strategy.
  • Working within the veterinary channel identify opportunities for campaigns, services and communication strategies that will lead to an increase of sales.
  • Target and segment the nominated territory, whilst working cross-functionally to devise a customized plan that creates sustainable sales and service opportunities.
  • Ensuring customers are adequately trained and supported to enhance product stewardship.
  • Establishing a territory call plan around customer prioritization, product objectives, annual sales targets, profit objectives and individual territory targets.
  • Daily management of our CRM system.
  • Maintain and develop strong lines of communication and relationships with existing and potential customers.

 

About you 

  • Extensive commercial experience in sales and major accounts management preferable
  • Experience in the animal health industry preferably in the pet/companion animal area
  • Extensive travel within the defined Territory and other travel as required (conferences, industry events etc.)
  • Good commercial acumen (financial targets in terms of costs, profits, market and added values)

Further, will be asked to demonstrate a level of aptitude for the competencies required for the position that include:

  • Adaptability: approaches change with a positive mind set, seeks to understand the reasons for the change, collaborates with others to implement changes.
  • Driving for results: sets high goals for personal and group accomplishment, using measurement methods to monitor progress towards goals.
  • Sales persuasion: listens to uncover customer’s needs and desired outcomes and present solutions that meet the desired outcomes.
  • Relationship management: ability to establish trusted and positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
