About Dial A Vet

Our mobile application provides pet owners with the ability to connect to a licensed veterinary professional in minutes, 24/7, and anywhere in Australia and NZ.

Our goal with Dial A Vet is to be the first point of call for all pet owners, to get quality veterinary advice from our Australian-based licensed veterinary professionals. We aim to transform pet care not only in Australia but in the world, by providing using our platform to access it.

About your new role

Dial A Vet is hiring for the position of Veterinarian to provide tele-triage advice to Dial A Vet members. This will be achieved by answering our on-demand calls from pet owners to provide them with quality advice for any concerns or questions they have about their cats and/or dogs.

As there is no veterinarian–client–patient relationship established, you are asked not to diagnose, treat, or prescribe medication. Our pet owners will rely on you to guide them and provide quality advice to give them peace of mind when they need it.

All Dial A Vet consultations are conducted via video call.

This role is designed to do around your schedule and your lifestyle commitments, you will be remunerated per call successfully completed.

 

Your role:

• Accept video calls from Dial A Vet members and assist them with questions or concerns about their cats and/or dogs.
• Provide veterinary insight and education to help assist pet owners in understanding their pet's concerns or issues.
• Make recommendations on supplements or other items that may aid their pet with the issue or concern.
• Makes recommendations on potential veterinary clinic visits if required.
• Be the eyes and ears for pet owners across Australia and NZ, you are essentially now their Dr.Google!

 

What you'll need:

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience in a small animal veterinary clinic.
• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or an equivalent degree recognised in Australia.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Experience with e-consultations or tele-health. (A bonus!)
• Able to make rapport with pet owners and have a client-centric approach.
• A smartphone or tablet device operating on iOS or Android platforms
