We are seeking a qualified Veterinarian who is eligible to be registered or already registered with the NSW veterinary board in Australia to join our Technical Services team.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical support and education on our Production Animal range of pharmaceutical products to our customers and sales and marketing teams across Australia and New Zealand.

This is an exciting and diverse role that will enable you to travel nationally and in New Zealand for up to 25% of your time (post Covid), present to peers and primary producers at conferences, develop and deliver customer training packages, and work closely with professionals across our sales and marketing, regulatory affairs and production teams.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator, able to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders and be very organised.

This role is a permanent full-time position based at Rutherford, NSW, in the Hunter Valley, just 45 minutes from the city of Newcastle, and Lake Macquarie where there are pristine beaches, national parks, sporting community, world class university, hospitals and excellent schools.

 

Job Description

  • Promptly respond to enquiries for technical information, complaints and adverse reactions
  • Assist in the development of technical positioning for the product range
  • Educate sales team and customers, at head office, in the field, in-clinic and seminar presentations
  • Foster and maintain strong links with veterinarians, their relevant professional bodies, teaching institutes and special interest groups
  • As required assist Research and Development.

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a large animal veterinary practice
  • Experience in sheep, dairy or beef industries
  • Veterinary pharmaceutical industry experience is desirable but not essential
  • It is an essential requirement of the role that you are a Qualified Veterinarian already registered or currently eligible to be registered in Australia with the New South Wales Veterinary Practitioners Board
  • Capable of adapting to the challenges of a diverse position.

 

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Veterinary Science is essential
  • Additional post graduate qualifications such as PhD or ANZCVS memberships would be highly regarded, as will business qualifications.
