Key Responsibilities:
As a Technical Services Veterinarian, you will play a key role in delivering the Companion Animal Business Unit (CABU) Technical Services strategy to achieve commercial success. Your responsibilities will include:
Technical Customer Support:
- Provide high-quality technical advice to veterinarians, pet retail staff, and consumers on product use, adverse reactions, efficacy, and product quality.
- Handle customer queries via phone and email, facilitating diagnostics, managing efficacy guarantees, and negotiating reimbursement requests where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of adverse events, product quality complaints, and technical enquiries using CRM systems (MAXX).
Technical Services & Collaboration:
- Support the sales and marketing teams by reviewing materials to ensure they meet technical and regulatory standards.
- Assist with developing and updating technical information and product training programs for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Deliver on-the-job technical training for customer service teams and collaborate with Animal Health Representatives on adverse event issues.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with company and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance (PV) and adverse event reporting requirements.
What You’ll Bring:
- Veterinary degree and registration with the NSW Veterinary Surgeons Board (essential)
- Post-graduate qualifications (e.g., Australian College membership) – advantageous
- Clinical experience in companion animal general or specialty practice
- Knowledge of companion animal vaccines and parasiticides; industry or research experience is preferred
- Understanding of equine medicine and surgery – desirable

- Confident in delivering training and providing excellent customer service
- Proficient with databases and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Compliance-focused with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Competent in numerical analysis and interpreting technical data
