Description

The Position:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Technical Services Veterinarian to join our client based in Macquarie Park for a 12-month contract starting ASAP. As the Technical Services Veterinarian, you will execute the CABU Technical Services strategy and tactical plans to achieve business outcomes, drive sales and market share growth, maximise biopharma and MAHI portfolio opportunities, provide first-class technical support to our customers and stakeholders, and support the technical needs of the sales regions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice to veterinarians, veterinary and pet retail staff, and consumers on company products.
  • Communicate with customers primarily via telephone and email to help resolve medical issues with patients experiencing adverse reactions or efficacy issues with MAH Companion Animal products.
  • Initiate product quality testing procedures when applicable and consult on diagnostics.
  • Negotiate reimbursement requests and ensure adoption, best practice use, and value capture of CRM (MAXX) with respect to case entries for AEs, PQCs and Technical Enquiries.
  • Successfully execute the Technical Services strategy and action plans to achieve business goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and provide strategic and tactical recommendations to grow company's market share.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, as well as a broader understanding of Animal Health issues.
  • Maintain all documentation in accordance with Company and relevant quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and other requirements and assist in the development of EHS objectives, targets, and performance indicators.

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • A Veterinary Degree and Registration with the NSW Veterinary Surgeons Board is essential. Post-Graduate qualifications, such as membership of the Australian College, are an advantage.
  • 3 years of experience in clinical companion animal veterinary general or specialty practice, with knowledge of Companion animal and Equine medicine and surgery desirable.
  • Highly developed skills in establishing, influencing and maintaining business relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including confidence to deliver training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and phone skills, with a strong commitment to Customer Service.
  • Computer literacy and strong comfort level working with databases, preferred experience with Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
  • Compliance focused mindset and strong organisational skills.
  • Highly competent in numerical analysis, technical and verbal data, with a sound and logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-starter with initiative who works well with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to make decisions on a day-to-day basis concerning routine activities.
  • Ability to work within a team and across departments.
