Description
IPA has been providing quality staffing solutions across Australia for over 30 years and has a strong partnership with the Queensland Government. We are partnering with our client to source a Technical Officer – Fisheries (TO2) based on Bribie Island.
As a Technical Officer, you will play a key role in coordinating field research through feeding, monitoring, quality control, and multiple field testing to support recreational fisheries projects.
Essential requirements:
- Diploma or higher in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Marine or similar
- Familiarity with working and handling live fish
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with fisheries scientists
- Great team player, with ability to work autonomously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current, valid C-class open driver’s licence
- Ability to travel throughout Queensland, including after-hours and weekend work as required
- Fully vaccinated against covid-19
